A visitor to Baltimore’s Midwest amusement park has reported seeing a man with a gun and a bag on a roof while he was inside the park.

A man with “a gun and bag” was seen by park staff at the park in the park’s entrance area.
A police spokesman said they were investigating whether the man had a criminal history.
“The man was not immediately visible from the outside and park staff were not aware of the presence of any firearms,” he said.
“We will continue to monitor the situation closely and determine the next steps.”
In a statement, Baltimore Police said they had not received any information suggesting a person with a firearm was inside a park at the time of the incident but that they were “aware of the man’s behavior at the entrance”.
“Due to the nature of the investigation, we are not providing additional details at this time,” the statement read.
“At this time, we do not have any information to indicate a criminal record.”
As a precautionary measure, the park reopened shortly before 5am (local time) to assess the safety of our guests and staff, as well as our park visitors.
“Police did not say whether the park had a policy against weapons, although it is the first time the park has closed due to an incident.
The park had been closed for several days following the arrest of a man on suspicion of assault with a dangerous weapon on the grounds of the park, where a group of children were watching a movie.
A spokesman for the park said the incident had not been reported to police.”
There is no indication that this is related to any criminal activity, and the park is safe and open to guests,” the spokesman said.
