The theme park operator has opened a few rides that will be available at Disney theme parks, including a new “Pirates of the Caribbean” attraction and a new nighttime attraction, which will be accessible for the first time at Disneyland park.
“We’re excited to bring our new Pirates of the Pirates attraction and nighttime attraction to the Disneyland Resort,” Disneyland CEO Bob Chapek said in a statement to ABC News.
“It’s an exciting and new experience that will help us connect with our guests, while offering a special night-time experience at Disneyland.”
The Pirates of Caribbean attraction, dubbed the “Pirate Encounter,” is set to open later this year at the Pirates of The Caribbean theme park in Orlando, Florida.
It will be one of the most expensive Disney attractions ever, according to Chapeck.
Disneyland has also announced plans to open two new nighttime attractions at Disneyland parks in 2019, a ride that will include a new version of the “Walt Disney Studios” ride.
The ride will open later in 2019 at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, and the ride will also be accessible to guests for the second time.
Disney also announced in a recent earnings report that it had sold nearly 11 million tickets for its 2017-18 season, which is the highest sales total in the park’s history.
