The Disney theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland will close Friday, after Hurricane Irma made landfall.
The Disney parks at Disney’s Florida theme parks will close at 7 p.m.
Friday, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts said.
The Walt Disney parks will open later in the day.
Disney will provide free admission to all guests at the parks.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which opened in 1990, will remain open until further notice, Disney said.
Disney World also said it will offer free admission for those who are temporarily visiting the parks and are eligible for an enhanced discount.
A limited number of free rides will also be available, according to Disney.
In addition, Disney will offer complimentary admission for all guests visiting the Disney parks, Disney spokeswoman Kristy Gifford said in a statement.
The park closures follow a similar move at Disneyland, which closed at 8 p.t. Thursday.
Disney said Thursday that it will open at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, and Sunday to accommodate the storm.
