JERUSALEM (AFP) - Amusement parks are in the crosshairs of a new amusement park safety law which would force them to provide video surveillance to police, a top amusement park official said Tuesday."We're not saying they're not safe, we're just saying that it's a bit difficult to have a clear picture of what they're doing," Amusements Park owner Ronan Eichenberger told AFP."If you have a large amu...
The hotel amusement parks have had a reputation for getting away with some things over the years.
For example, if your guests come to your place for a few hours, then they have to leave.
Or if you’ve got a bunch of kids with you, then it’s just not allowed.
But in a new report from the hospitality industry group, it’s becoming a bit of a big deal in a lot of ways.

“I’ve had the kids come in the last week, and they’re absolutely furious because they don’t get to have their pictures taken with me.”
A lot of hotels are now doing away with the need for photos with guests, Kavanag said.
“There is a big shift happening with the hotel industry,” he said.
“A lot more hotels are starting to go that route and it’s working for us.”
There’s no need to have people taking pictures with guests at the hotel.
We’ve got this amazing system we have in place, so that if you go out, you’re going to be seen.
“Kavanagh said some hotels have even turned away people from the lobby, where the guests can’t see the people they’re trying to reach.
He said he was surprised at the reaction to the report.
It was a great thing, but we had to think about it, he said, adding that if they do want photos with people, then that’s their prerogative.
However, many hotel owners are unhappy with the change in policy, and are trying to do away with it.
The industry group said it has been working with hotels to get them to rethink their behaviour.
In a statement, a hotel spokesperson said they were aware of the report and that they had been working to change their policies.

A spokesperson for the Australian Restaurant and Lodging Association said the group had not been consulted about changes to the policy.
And hotel chains have a long history of not wanting guests to take pictures with them.
Some hotels have made the policy a rule, and some have not.
When it comes to the new policy, some hotels are still not doing away completely with photos with customers.
There are some hotels that have taken steps to try and encourage people to take their photo with them, like the hotel in the video below.
They are taking a step to ensure they do not get away with that behaviour, but it’s not quite there yet, according to the hospitality group.
We’re still a long way from where we want to be,” Kavanaugh said.”
I’m glad it’s starting to get some traction, but there are still a lot more rules to be written.” Read next
